How it works

  1. We map it out

    A short session sketching what happens in your business and in what order. No jargon — you'll be able to read it and tell me where it's wrong.

  2. You get a price per feature

    Fixed, in writing, before anything gets built. You choose what's worth doing and what isn't.

  3. I build it in small pieces

    One feature at a time, each one finished and usable. You can stop, reorder, or change direction between them.

  4. Defects are free for a year

    If it doesn't do what we agreed it would, I fix it and you don't get an invoice.

Who you're dealing with

I'm Jon. Yepworks is just me, working out of Melbourne's north.

I've been a senior engineer and led engineering teams for years, mostly in TypeScript on AWS. I specialise in event-sourced systems: instead of storing only where things ended up, you keep the record of what happened. It sounds like a small distinction. In practice it's the difference between a system you can answer questions about in five years and one nobody can explain.

That's also where the tagline comes from. Most software doesn't start complicated — it gets that way one shortcut at a time. Staying simple is the part that takes effort, and it's the part I'm good at.
